DOUGLAS H. LEE, AIA, was born in Korea. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering in 1965. Following his graduation, Mr. Lee joined the staff of the world renowned architect, Paolo Soleri, where he was the Chief Architect contributing to the design and construction of Arcosanti, Soleri’s experimental three-dimensional city near Prescott, Arizona.
Mr. Lee’s work spans the globe. Prior to founding Lee & Sakahara Architects, Inc. in 1979, Mr. Lee went abroad as the Director of Design for a multi-national architectural and engineering firm, gaining a wealth of international experience. With experience that extends over three decades and a licensed architect in 20 states, Mr. Lee is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate. He is a trustee of the Cosanti Foundation, a non-profit foundation established by Paolo Soleri.
As the Founder and CEO of Lee & Sakahara, Mr. Lee is responsible for overall operations and strategic planning. In addition, he actively participates in many of the firm’s projects, especially during the inception phases.

GARY E. CONGDON, AIA, (LEED Accredited) was born in Atlanta, GA. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 1973. In that same year, he moved to Las Vegas to begin work with Archisystems, a division of Summa Corporation. Mr. Congdon has been actively involved in architecture and construction in Nevada since 1973. Prior to joining Lee & Sakahara in 1996, Mr. Congdon was the Principal of his own firm for 16 years. He is a registered architect in Nevada, California, Arizona and Utah. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate. He is on the Government Affairs Committee for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP Southern Nevada Chapter), and served two years on the Area Zone Advisory Committee for the Clark County School District.
Mr. Congdon has over 15 years of experience on military projects at Nellis AFB, Creech AFB, Edwards AFB and Ft. Irwin. He is responsible for LEESAK's military project program and the primary point of contact for these projects.
As the Principal of Lee & Sakahara’s Las Vegas office, Mr. Congdon is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s architectural practice in Las Vegas. In addition to client liaison and managing agency relations, he actively participates in the design, planning, and construction administration of all projects.

WADE KAO, AIA, is an honors graduate from Texas Tech University with a Master Degree in Architecture. He is a registered architect in the State of California and joined Lee & Sakahara Architects in 2011 as Director of Production responsible for the implementation of BIM and Revit production for the firm. Mr. Kao brings over 18 years of varied professional architectural experience in a wide range of project types, from hospitality to industrial, retail, office, military, libraries, educational, judicial, police and fire facilities throughout the United States. As Director of Production, Mr. Kao's primary responsibilities include project management, client liaison, quality control, and code compliance. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Mr. Kao’s strong leadership and management skills gave rise to his appointment as Vice President of Lee & Sakahara in 2014. In his role he is responsible for all aspects of project production and his varied experience and highly competent project management skills, enable him to successfully manage and direct complex projects for the firm.

CHRIS TEACHMAN, AIA, graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University. He is a licensed architect in Nevada and holds the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate. Mr. Teachman joined Lee & Sakahara Architects in 2011 as a Sr. Project Manager in charge of federal projects for Lee & Sakahara’s Las Vegas office. In his capacity, he led the teams to successfully complete the design and production of several Air Force TLF and Visiting quarters. As a LEED accredited professional, his focus is based in the research and development of utilizing passive environmental control systems to achieve a fundamentally low-resource use of buildings while maintain the client’s vision. His meticulous attention to detail and listening to his client’s needs has resulted in the successful acquisition of several satisfied federal and military clients throughout the United States and abroad. Mr. Teachman is a member of the AIA, and an active member of the NAIOP.
Mr. Teachman was named Vice President of Lee & Sakahara in 2014 and has continued to be responsible for federal work company-wide.
